Taghazout is a charming fishing village just 30 minutes north of Agadir city in south of Morocco. Over the years, Taghazout Bay has become a prominent beach holiday destination for surfers from all over the world. With great sunny weather all year round, its location facing the Atlantic ocean along the west coast of Morocco makes it a surfing paradise. While you’re off the beaten path, Taghazout is buzzing with good vibes, great surf and a truly authentic Moroccan fishing village culture that you will not want to miss.
With over 10 years of experience in surf coaching, our professionally qualified and experienced surf instructors can provide surf lessons for your surf level. We take no more than 8 students per group to ensure you are able to focus and have fun too. All equipment is provided by our surf camp – you just need to bring good vibes! With proper attention at the beach, and care at the surf house, you will feel at home at our surf camp in Taghazout.
What used to be an unknown small fishing village, Taghazout is now a surfer’s dream destination. Why? Loads of awesome surf spots with consistent waves and really friendly locals sets makes Taghazout a really sought after destination for surf holidays in Morocco.
If you’re a beach lover, you can visit Taghazout any time, as it is blessed with sunny weather all year round. If you’re a beginner looking to learn surfing, you will easily find waves at one of the many surf spots in Taghazout. You can fly to Agadir Al Massira Airport, which is 45 minutes from our Taghazout surf camp. From there, you can take a taxi or we can arrange airport pick-up for you. If you are already in Morocco, then you can take a bus to Agadir City, which is 20 minutes.
Depending on your surf level, the coach will tailor his coaching to suit your individual needs. Beginner and early intermediate surfers can be managed in small groups. More experienced or advanced surfers will not be included in beginner level surf lessons.
Each surf lesson is approximately 2 hours, supervised by the surf coach during the first session of the day. The second session of the day is free-surf time, but still under the surf coach’s observation.
Each surf lesson included a maximum of 8 surfers with similar surf levels to ensure that the coaching is appropriate for all. More experienced surfers are put in different group assigned to a different coach.
Our Morocco surf camp team will provide a wetsuit for all your surf lessons. So you just need to bring comfortable swimwear that you can wear under the wetsuit. Rash-guard is also recommended in case you wish to surf without a wetsuit. Here’s a list of things to pack for your surf trip.
We will provide a surfboard for all your surf lessons. However, you can bring your own board if you have one.
There are loads of activities you can enjoy in Taghazout. If you’re not keen to surf, you can enjoy the Skate park, ATV Quad bikes, Camel and Horse riding, or go for a short hike up the hill.
